guns.jpgSimpson County Sheriff Kenneth Lewis reports that on Thursday, May 21, 2015, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a drive-by shooting located at 445 Mary Grove Church Rd., Mendenhall, Mississippi. Upon arrival of deputies, two subjects were found with gunshot wounds. Simpson County investigators arrived on scene and witnesses identified Joshua Nelson, Lamarcus Washington, Travis Caffie, Lasheena Talley and Toumi Durr as suspects in the shooting. Later that night, Simpson County Sheriff’s Office received calls from Shelly Rd, reporting multiple gun shots throughout the area. Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined that two houses and three vehicles had been shot numerous times.

Simpson County Sheriff’s Office deputies have been working diligently to apprehend all suspects involved. At this time, Lamarcus Washington, Travis Caffie and Toumi Durr have been arrested and charged. Still at large are Joshua Nelson, Lasheena Talley, Elijah Craft, Jr., and Dartez Sims.

Sheriff Lewis asks that any information regarding the whereabouts of these subjects be reported to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office at 601.847.2921 or to CrimeStoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
