Dr. Paul Lawrence, principal at Magee Elementary, led his school from a D rating to a B rating for 2017-18. The school is only 10 points from an A!!! How did Dr. Lawrence bring an F rated school 3 years ago to a now B school?
During our sit-down, Dr. Lawrence explained the basic of his successful plan. “Getting the teachers and students to believe in themselves was the hardest thing I had to do,” stated Lawrence. He based his teaching on the 3 R’s: Respect, Responsibility, and Readiness. Constantly putting the 3 R’s in front of the students and teachers led to success.
I hope you will listen to Dr. Lawrence’s video. His rise to success is quite interesting. Paul Lawrence is not satisfied with a B. He and his teachers and students are going for the gold…an A rating.
