Dr. Monica Webber of Magee, MS, a distinguished Holistic Healthcare Practitioner and BCCR Chaplain, has been elected President of the Mississippi Association of Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (MASERVIC). This organization operates under the umbrella of the Mississippi Counseling Association (MCA) and is a vital branch of the American Counseling Association (ACA). MASERVIC aims to integrate spiritual, ethical, and religious values into the counseling process throughout Mississippi.
Dr. Webber, a Board Certified Holistic Healthcare Practitioner and a seasoned professional with over 22 years in ministry and a decade in counseling, she
brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She owns Mississippi’s first licensed faith-based counseling practice. In addition, Dr. Webber teaches holistic and spiritual healthcare to physicians, Licensed Practical Counselors (LPCs), and college students across the state and virtually, demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field of counseling.
Her leadership extends beyond the classroom and clinic; Dr. Webber also serves as the Children’s Minister at Anew Creation Church, where she dedicates her time to nurturing the spiritual growth of young community members. Known for her compassion, servant heart, and commitment to public service, she is a respected figure in both the counseling profession and her local community.
In her presidential role at MASERVIC, Dr. Webber is poised to unite the counseling profession in Mississippi, support LPCs and professional school counselors, and promote their personal and professional development through advocacy, education, and networking. She will be teaching November 6th at the Tupelo Convention Center at the MCA Conference. Dr. Webber will lead her very own program “Nurturing the Spirit: Integrating Spiritual Care in Healing Practices” to professional counselors throughout the state of Mississippi. Her vision includes bridging the gap between faith-based counseling and mental health counseling, fostering a more holistic approach to mental wellness in the state.
“This is a tremendous honor, and I am excited to serve in this capacity, all glory to God” said Dr. Webber. “My goal is to empower counselors and enhance the way we integrate spiritual and ethical values into our practice, ultimately benefiting our clients and the broader community.”
