A reception was held honoring Dr. George “Bo” Huffman on Tuesday, June 30, 2023 as he announced his retirement.
Dr. Huffman announced his retirement after 31 years of serving in the Educational field. 27 of those years were in Simpson County. Dr. Huffman advanced through the system in many areas. He served 9 years as the CTE Director, 11 years as Magee High School Principal, 4 years as the Assistant Principal at Magee High School, 3 years as a Biology Teacher, Assistant Football Coach, Head Track Coach, and District Athletic Director.
Dr. Huffman impacted many people in Simpson county and will be missed.
