Dr. Caroll Frazier Landrum went to be with his Lord on June 22, 2022, after being admitted on Monday to Forrest General Hospital and later died of natural causes. He was 96 years old.

Dr. Landrum was a long-time resident of Jackson, Mississippi, and Edward, Mississippi, where he had his practice. He was the son of Joseph and Emma Meadows Landrum. He graduated at the top of his class from Milsaps College before moving on to Tulane Medical School, where he graduated with honors. He interned at Harvard University for 2 years for cancer research. He went on to serve in the Navy and Air Force.

Dr. Landrum is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, greats and great-greats, as well as a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Joseph and Emma Landrum; brothers Cecil Landrum and Joe T. (Annie) Landrum; and sister Maxine Brister.

Uncle Frazier (Doc) was a God-fearing man his entire life. He loved and was loved. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Mississippi State, Willie Nelson, and never missed an airing of Billy Graham!

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Bezer Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Cody Bruce will officiate the services.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
