Dorris Vaughn, (July 22, 1931 – April 9, 2016) 84, of Mount Olive, passed from this life Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive, Bro. Dewitt Bain and Bro. Bryson Haden will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive.

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her daughters – Kathryn Wheat (Billy) of Mount Olive, MS and daughter – Melanie Ishee (David) of Villa Rica, GA; Sons – William Vaughn of Picayune, MS and Michael Vaughn (Tanya) of Mount Olive, MS; sister – Ceil Downer of Oxford; sister-in-law – Claire Bumgardner of Athens, AL; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of family members.

Mrs. Vaughn is preceded in death by her husband – William Fred Vaughn, Jr., Son – George Vaughn; parents- George and Bulah Bumgardner; four brothers and three sisters.
