The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ezekiel 18:21: “If a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.” In the Old Testament, God spoke directly to His prophet Ezekiel with messages for God’s chosen, the Israelites. Here, that same message resounds through the ages: repent and be saved to life eternal with God or continue in sin and be doomed to a life of darkness and separation from God. “Choose ye this day whom you will serve.” The decision is ours. As my grandmother used to say, “Every tub sits on its own bottom.” We each will have to answer for ourselves, come Judgment Day. Don’t put off salvation too long.
