Donnel L Thames, 83, of Mize, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2020 at Magee General Hospital in Magee. He was born Tuesday, June 15, 1937.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. The Burial will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. David Dean and Bro. Berry Warren will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Ladonna Thames; parents, L.D. Thames and Letha Grice; brothers, Leland Thames, Elton Thames, and Tom Thames; sister, Sadie James.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Shirley Thames; daughter, Susan Erickson; sisters, Jolyne May, Linda Eddy and husband Roy and Sherry McRaney and husband Larry.
