Dolores Dell Boggan Wadsworth, of Mendenhall, MS, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed from this Earth into the arms of the Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017. Dolores was born on February 1, 1932, in Pinola, MS. She was the only daughter of L.A. and Myrtle Bush Boggan who preceded her in death along with her daughter, Lisa Wadsworth Noblin and husband of many years, Herbert “Skeets” Wadsworth.

Dolores’s surviving children include Sherry Dean, Larry Wadsworth, Mike Wadsworth, Sandy Winstead (Jeff) and Jay Wadsworth (Susan). Her grandchildren and their spouses include Stephanie and Robert Justice; Jason and Courtney Dean; Cain and Christy Prince; Scott and Rachael Wadsworth; Keiko Wadsworth; Araca Wadsworth; Jeff and Becca Winstead III; Darla and Josh Eschete; Dora Winstead; Michael Winstead; Sophia Wadsworth; and Olivia Wadsworth. Dolores also lived to see and hold many beloved great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her aunt, Valeria Sherman and Jessie Dean.

Dolores was a graduate of St. Mary’s of the Pines and Central High School having lived in Florida and California. She spent the majority of her life in Jackson where she attended Asbury Methodist Church and raised her family and grandchildren, to whom she was wholly committed. Her love of music was well-known, a gift passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 13, at Tutor Funeral Home, Hwy 13 South in Mendenhall. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm with graveside service following at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall beginning at 2:00 pm.
