I was out and about today and saw a plaque that really got my attention. (Courtesy of Tracy Creel)

“Have you prayed about it as much as you’ve talked about it,” Matthew 21:22. This verse hit me square between the eyes…and I don’t like being hit in the face!

I find that I talk talk talk about stuff….just carrying on and on to friends and family…but I’m not always praying as much as I am talking!

Next time you start running your mouth, stop and think, “have I prayed about this?” I imagine if we got on our knees more than we opened our mouth we would be surprised at the changes that might occur in our lives.

It pains me to confess, but I want instant answers! I am not patient…and sometimes I am not kind. Often, I want to throw up my hands and just give up.

I am “tattooing” this verse to my brain! The next time I “hear” myself confessing the woooooos of my life, I am going to cling to that verse. God gives us the answers. We may not like some of His answers…but we must ask to receive.

Have a blessed week.
