Dessie Bell Mangum Garner passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. She was born on January 17, 1950, to Henry Mangum and Helen McMillan Mangum.

She was a faithful member of Sharon Presbyterian Church for 59 years. She retired from the Jackson Public School System.

She is survived by her nieces, Shonta May (Chris), Tawana Barnes (Robin); great-niece, Sonya Parkman (Zac) along with several other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Ricky Garner; parents, Henry and Helen Mangum; sisters, Francis Mangum Barnes, Barbara Mangum Furlow, Betty Jean Mangum Shaw; brother Ray Mangum; father-in-law, Hubert Ray Garner and mother-in-law, Albaree Garner.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on October 19, 2022, at Sharon Presbyterian Church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Sharon Cemetery with Brother Mike Ahlberg officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sharon Presbyterian Church (114 Sharon Saratoga Rd. Magee, MS 39111).

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
