Demitri Milsap was scolded by Defendant Deshaun Jones using boiling hot water in the bath tub. Defendant Jones forced Milsap into the hot tub and would not let him out.

His co-defendant, Nathan Jones, got fifteen (15) years MDOC, with ten (10) years to serve and five (5) years post release supervision, and part of Nathan Jones’ agreement was that he testify truthfully against Deshaun Jones.

District Attorney Jones stated that “ADA Wendell James and ADA Wilton McNair did an excellent job in trying the case”.

Defendant Deshaun Jones was convicted of aggravated assault and kidnapping and therefore will be sentenced by Judge Eddie H. Bowen on the 27th day of February, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Jasper County Court House in Bay Springs, Mississippi.

District Attorney Jones went on to say that his office “prosecutes criminals without passion, prejudice, improper influence, political standing, financial standing, or regards to race” and it is his duty to “ensure that justice will be served with each and every case [his] office handles.”

Daniel C. Jones represents the 13th Circuit Court District which includes Covington, Jasper, Simpson, and Smith counties.
