Deborah Leigh Padgett Shoemaker was born on August 18, 1953, at the Air Force Hospital Base in Bryant, Texas, to her parents, Delmos Eugene and Mamie Bryant Padgett. She passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her residence.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, John Milton and Ruth Brown Padgett, and Miley and Tiny Amason Bryant; brother, Larry Eugene Padgett; sister-in-law, Shellie Craft Padgett; brother-in-law, Bobby Shoemaker; and mother-in-law, Addie Shoemaker.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Shoemaker; her brother, Jimmy Padgett (Patricia); her father-in-law, Hugh Shoemaker, Sr.; her brothers-in-law, Hugh Shoemaker Jr. (Carolyn) and Curtis Shoemaker (Sandra); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Debbie was involved in the Christian Women’s Job Corp and Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The graveside service will be at 1:00 pm at Pine Grove Cemetery with interment immediately following.

Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
