Deanna attended Madison Ridgeland High School and graduated from McLaurin Attendance Center. She attended Hinds Junior College and the University of Southern Mississippi, completing her degree in accounting. She worked as an accountant for most of her life, and was particularly proud of her work with Sentara Healthcare (’95-’07) and D. Noblin (’11-’14). She loved and took pride in her work, putting into it the same enthusiasm, determination, and intelligence that she brought to the rest of her life.

While we deeply mourn her long illness and untimely passing and search for understanding, we are thanking God for what her life meant to us. She gave us many years of joy, laughter, loyalty, and support. She was a loyal and loving big sister, a deeply loving wife and mother who raised her children up to be followers of Jesus. She was fierce in her love and protection of her family and friends.

For all those who reached out to her with love and support during her life and illness, we are grateful. No matter how you came to know her, you would know that her life was marked indelibly by the person of Jesus Christ and that she trusted Him fully. Deanna always sat at the feet of her Savior, Our Lord Jesus, in whom is our hope and salvation now and forevermore. She shared her faith and trust in Jesus Christ with many, many people, and if there was ever someone who trusted her soul to Christ, it was Deanna. She knew that in all things God works for the good of those who love the Lord and that there was nothing we could do to earn their way to heaven. Because of her belief in the sacrifice of the cross and the love of Jesus Christ, she walks with Him today. And, even though she fought incredibly hard to live for her children, she believed firmly that God has a plan for them and He will watch over them and bless them. She knew that they will not be alone even though she would be gone from this world. This gave her peace and sustained her until the end.

Visitation will be at the Cleary Baptist Church on Wednesday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. Services to honor Deanna’s life will also be at the Cleary Baptist Church, Thursday morning at 11 a.m. with burial following at the Puckett Cemetery.

She is also survived by her loving church family of Cleary Baptist Church (Florence, MS). Deanna was supported in life and now in death by her loving church family at Cleary Baptist Church (Florence, MS). Their kind attention and support brought her joy and thankfulness so many times.

Her family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cleary Baptist Church Missions Fund (1580 Florence-Byram Road, Florence, MS 39073; 601-845-2020; www.clearybaptist.org).
