Role models can be positive or negative.

Don’t put a lot of concern into what others think of you.

DEAD WORSHIP

Have you ever wondered why the Holy Spirit does not move in your worship service?  In our devotion today we will see why.  Our devotion today comes from Psalm 115:5-7.  They have mouths but they speak not.  Eyes have they but they see not.  They have ears but they hear not.  Noses have they but they smell not.  They have hands but they handle not.  Feet have they but they walk not.  Neither speak they through their throat.

God wants us to use our body in praise and worship to Him.  He wants us to open our mouths and give Him the true praise that is due Him.  Out of our mouths should come phrases such as glory to God, thank you Jesus and use our mouths to sing unto Him.  The songs maybe like Amazing Grace or Jesus Loves The Little Children.  God wants us to be friendly to other people.  We must open our eyes and see what God has done and is doing for us.  He wants us to see where He has brought us from and where we are going.

God wants us to hear about his great movement in our own worship service and around the world.  We hear about the coming of Christ all the time but, one day very soon it is going to happen.  We use our noses to smell like the world but to smell like we belong to Jesus Christ and Him only.

Our hands are used to open up the word of God to be lifted up in praise and worship to Jesus.  Our hands are used to anoint and pray for those who are sick and need special prayer.  Our feet are used to help us go to house to house telling others about Jesus .  Does this devotion describe your house of worship?

Thank you for taking time to read this devotion.  Have a blessed and victorious week.

Rev. Richard Kight
