David Allen Gray, 70, of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  He was born Saturday, March 18, 1950, in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

          Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

          Mr. Gray was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

          He was preceded in death by his father, Bo Gray; mother, Ada Gambrell; and one sister, Joann Sumrall.

          Survivors include his loving wife of fifty years, Jean Gray of Bay Springs; three sons, Allen Gray of Taylorsville, Jody Gray and wife, Laura of Bay Springs, and Jason Gray and wife, Jill of Seminary; seven grandchildren, Ashton Gray, Dalton Gray, Danielle Reagan, Braden Gray, Jake Gray, Jana Gray, and Madelyn Gray; four great-grandchildren, Ashlyn McDaniel, Taytay Wilson, Gatlin Gray, and Harper Gray; one brother, Ellis Ray Gambrell (Janet); two sisters, Marilyn Johnston (Mark), and Theresa Brady (Jimmy); and a host of other family members.

          Pallbearers will be Matthew Johnston, Michael Blakeney, Michael Gambrell, Dalton Gray, Braden Gray, and James Brady.  Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Blackwell, Anthony Hancock, Charles Thornton, Jake Gray, Terry Smith, Jerry Robinson, Robin Phillips, Glenn Phillips, Cooper McNeil,  and Jimmy Hollingshead.
