Dan Wesley Means, 84, of Puckett passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Covington County Hospital in Collins, He was born Friday, November 18, 1932 in Puckett, MS.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall and 10:30AM till 11:00AM Monday at Puckett Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Puckett Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Puckett. Bro. Grant McElveen and Bro. Marcus Canoy will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401
He is preceded in death by his wife Maxine Means, parents Tom and Laurene Means, Brothers, John Calvin Means, William Decovin Means, and Sister June Everett.
Survivors include his Wife, Nell Means, Puckett, Son, Alan Means (Kathy), Pearl, Daughter, Cherita Swanson (Michael), Canton, Step-Sons, Cardis Sparks (Melissa), Magee, and Alton Shaw (Christy), Wesson. Grand Children, Bradley Williams (Kellie), Derek Williams (Liz), Zach Williams (Erin), Miranda Robertson (Drew), Marla Sclater (Ryan), Benjamin Case, Parker Shaw, Great Grand Children, Cage Williams, Hutton Williams, and Kinsley Sclater, Brothers, Robert Means, Ronnie Means, and Stanley Means (Hilda), Sister-in-laws, Myrtle Lee Means and Earnestine Means.
Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Means, Michael Means, Justin Means, Billy Means, Richie Means and Warren “Pee Wee” Smith.
