Dale Bryant Yelverton, 84, of Magee, MS, passed away on February 8th, 2020.  All services will be held Monday, February 10th at Sharon Presbyterian Church in Magee.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am.
Dale was born in Magee on February 12, 1935. He graduated from Magee High School in 1952. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953-1955. He worked at TL James Construction before starting his career at McCarty Farms in 1963. Dale retired in 1995 after 32 years of dedicated service.
Dale married Shirley Baldwin on October 21, 1962. They were married 57 years. Dale and Shirley have two sons, Timothy (Laura) and Stephen (Malory). He is survived by five grandchildren; Elizabeth Ann 11, Bryant Seger 8, Grayson Cunningham 5, Woods Ryan 3, and Lawrence Wright, March 2020, who lovingly called him Poppy.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Daisy, sisters, Cleda Magee and Tawanda Lea.
Dale was a man of strong Christian faith. He also was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He served Sharon Presbyterian Church as an elder for four decades. He was an avid fisherman, golfer and the best neighbor anyone could ask for.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
