At 11:15 AM Wednesday, February 1st, Dale Berry qualified to run in the city election as Mayor. Dale is presently an Alderman and had qualified to run again for Alderman. Upon learning of Mayor Clyde’s decision not to run, Berry decided to pull out of the Alderman race and give his all to the Mayor’s race.
Dale Berry is the first candidate to qualify for the Mayor position. Citizens have until March 3, 2017 to qualify for Mayor or Alderman positions.
The primary for the election will be held on May 2, 2017. The General Election will be held on June 6, 2017.
