Cyndi Fields Colson, 52, went home to her Heavenly Father Thursday, July 27, 2023. Cyndi was born December 28, 1970, in Lucedale, Mississippi. She was a resident of Magee, Mississippi.
She was on the praise team at Christian Praise and Worship Church. Cyndi was a recent graduate of the Jones
County Junior College LPN program, where she received the Nightengale Award. She was employed by the
Hattiesburg Dialysis Clinic, where she loved to serve others.
Cyndi was the beloved wife of Damon Colson. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Fields,
her brother, Tony Fields, and her fur baby, Riley.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Damon Colson; her mother, Mabel Wiggins; in-laws, Shelby and Barbara Colson; her four children, Chandler Howell (Olivia), John Russell Evans (Hayley), Brian Colson (Tisha), and Kyle Colson; seven siblings, Jeff Fields (Sheri), Jimmie Anne Miller, Gene Fields (Karen), Ivan Colson (Paula), Eric Colson (Wendy), Audra Kennedy (Brian), Dorinda Morrow (Jason). She was dearly loved by many including nine grandbabies, one expected great- grandbaby, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cyndi was known for her devotion to her faith, family, and friends. Her love and happiness impacted
everyone she met. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies and family,
gardening, bird watching, cutting grass, traveling, and riding the motorcycle when it wasn’t too
hot. Cyndi loved life and lived it to the fullest.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the members of the Dry Creek Baptist Church
and the Christian Praise and Worship Church congregations.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in her memory to the Dry Creek Baptist
Church or the Christian Praise and Worship Church of Magee, Mississippi.
Services for Cyndi will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at Dry Creek Baptist Church, 1246 Dry Creek Road, Mendenhall, MS, at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Bro.
