  Curtis Lavon Boyte, Jr., 55 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born Wednesday, April 29, 1970 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

  Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Main Street Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Mendenhall Cemetery. Bro. Matt Armstrong and Bro. Kevin Walker will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Curtis Loved. He loved the Lord, his family and his country. Curtis was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Youth Leader. He was a man of many talents and even more hobbies, Curtis was an avid car enthusiast and triathlete. His favorite times were spent with his family and friends and being out in nature. Curtis loved to volunteer and help his community to be the best it could be. Curtis never met a stranger, and if he did they were not a stranger for long but probably a friend for life.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Boyte, Sr.; grandchild, Baby  McNair; brother, Baby Boyte; niece, Ashley Wilson;  brother-in-law, Danny Wilson.

 Survivors include his wife, Etta Boyte;  daughter, Shelby McNair  (Zachary); grandchildren, Catherine McNair, Madeline McNair; mother, Martha Smith Boyte; brother, Sammy Boyte  (Mickie); sister, Mary Ann Bain; nephew, Christopher  Boyte  (Shannon );  nieces, Kayla  Everett  (Landon ), Natalie  Howell, Hayleigh  Cantrell, Valeigh  Bain;  brother-in-law’s, Steve  Howell  (Becky) and Reed  Anderson (Teri).
