Magee, Mendenhall, and Simpson Academy are on the march for another win to keep District Titles in their future!

 

Magee Trojans plays host to Franklin County beginning at 7 PM. ” Magee will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Franklin County surely won’t give up without a fight.”   (MaxPreps)

The Trojans are undefeated…something Magee has not seen for many years.  MHSSA 3 A playoffs begin in Magee at 7PM at Trojan field with the first round of play.

 

Mendenhall Tigers travel to Poplarville for a 7 PM game.

Mendenhall is 0-3 against Poplarville since November of 2016 but things could change on Friday.

The Mendenhall Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Poplarville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.” (MaxPrep). Mendenhall is 4-5 in district play and 2-2 in District play.

Congratulations to Henry Funches on cementing his name in the Mendenhall Tiger football record book! Henry has had 3 consecutive 100+ receiving yards game!

 

Simpson Academy Cougars head back to Leake Academy where the Cougars were soundly beaten 27-0.

 

Simpson Academy fell victim to Leake Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Leake Academy Rebels 27-0. While getting shut out isn’t ideal, the Cougars haven’t been shut out since back in August.

Simpson Academy’s defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Leake Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. (Maxprep)

Simpson’s 47-21 victory over Heritage Academy put the Cougars on the district champ road.
