County Administrator Board Authorizations for Monday, July 6, 2015, Board Meeting:

 

1. Consider the housing of State Inmates.

2. Consider the payment to Ronald Reid Welch, Attorney, for re-approval of the Simpson County Joint State County Work Center jail inspection in the amount of $3,000.00 for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, in accordance with Gates v. Bryant, No. 4:7cv6-JAD,N.D. Miss., Greenville Div.

 

3. Approve the damage claim of Jennifer Sullivan for vehicle glass broken by a work crew weed trimming at B & B Glass in the amount of $255.62. The other quote was for $315.00 from Hill’s Windshield.

 

4. Approve applicable travel, registration, lodging, and meals for:

  • The Purchase Clerk and Inventory Clerk to attend the Mississippi Association of Government Purchasing and Property Agents Annual Conference October 18 – 22, 2015, in Biloxi, MS.

 

5. Authorize the claims and immediate issuance of checks for the following:

  • City of Magee in the amount of $2,000.00 for the purchase of the rubber tired roller from the City of Magee in accordance with Section 31 – 7 – 13 (m) (vi) as approved by Simpson County on May 21, 2015, and the City of Magee on June 16, 2015.

 

6. Acknowledge and Record in the Board Minutes:

  • Resignation of B. Ray Therrell, II as Simpson County Public Defender, effective July 31, 2015.
  • Circuit Court Order appointing Megan Stuard as Simpson County Public Defender at the salary of $29,795.00 plus office expense of $3,000.00 (same as Ray Therrell was paid), effective August 1, 2015.
  • Circuit Court Order accepting the resignation of Jonathan Pippen, Drug Court Administrator, effective June 16, 2015.
  • Circuit Court Order appointing William M. Brown, as Drug Court Coordinator at the salary of $46,500.00, effective June 16, 2015.
