On Friday night, August 24th, your Simpson Cougars faced off against the Leake Rebels. With pressure on the Simpson team to perform, the Cougars needed a victory. The first quarter saw the Rebels score a touchdown and kick for the extra point. While the Cougars scored a touchdown as well and went for two but came short. Simpson added to their score with touchdowns in the second and third quarters. While the Rebels didn’t score again until the fourth quarter. Simpson won with a final score of 18-14. With a victory under their belt, the Cougars are still missing some key players in their line-up due to injuries and hope to have them back in action soon.
