Sean Cooper, Investigator for the City of Magee was named Officer of the year for 2020.
Sean has been in and around Law Enforcement most of his life in his hometown of Cleveland, MS.
Sean’s father, Cliff Cooper, retired from Cleveland Police Department. Sean followed his father’s footsteps. He graduated Delta State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Forensics.
In June of 2006, Sean graduated from MS Delta Community College Law Enforcement Training Academy Basic Class #06-B24. Sean has completed numerous seminars and training classes through the years to enhance his knowledge of the law, improve his skills to enable him to do his job effectively and efficiently.
In 2006, Sean, his wife Melissa, and son Ethan relocated to her home county of Simpson County where he started working for the Magee Police Department. Sean has worked with Magee Police Department and Simpson County Sheriff’s Department. He has vowed to serve the Police Department, the City of Magee and its citizens to the very best of his ability as a Police Officer and Investigator.
