Construction Equipment program sees major equipment upgrades

WESSON – The Construction Equipment Operation program on Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Wesson Campus has received two brand new pieces of equipment to begin the 2021 academic year. The state-of-the-art upgrades include a CAT D3 Dozer and a CAT 320 Excavator which have already been delivered, and a CAT Motor Grader set to be delivered sometime this fall. These upgrades total an investment of over half a million dollars.

Pictured with equipment are Construction Equipment students Gabe of Hazlehurst and Tyler of Brandon; Program Instructor Joey Chassion, & Dean of Career-Tech Brent Duguid.

“These needed equipment upgrades provide an opportunity for our students to train on the latest technology, better preparing them for the in-demand heavy equipment operator jobs in our area,” said Brent Duguid, Dean of Career, Technical and Workforce Education.
