The Simpson County Conservative Men’s group held their monthly meeting at the VFW. The President of Empower Mississippi, Grant Callen, was the first keynote speaker and was followed by State Senator Michael Watson who is running for Secretary of State. Callen spoke on his organization’s desire to create more school choice for Mississippi Students. He also spoke on criminal justice reform, which his organization is pushing for as well. We hope to have Mr. Callen on the TalkShow in the very near future to discuss his ideas for Mississippi. Michael Watson spoke on his intention of stopping illegal immigrants from voting in elections if elected to the office of Secretary of State. Along with these speakers, local legislators Price Wallace and Chris Caughman gave an update on their legislative agenda for this session. Check out the interviews below following the event.
