Connie Craft Magee departed this earthly life on March 9, 2018. She was born on September 23, 1963, to Eddie and Geraldine Craft of Magee.
On August 3, 1984, Connie married her best friend, David Magee of Magee. She was a graduate of Magee High School and the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation from college, Connie worked as a Registered Nurse in the Magee community for over 25 years. She cared for patients at Magee General Hospital, South Mississippi Homecare and Hospice, and Deaconess Homecare, before she began working for the Simpson County School District. For the last 12 years, students at Magee and Mendenhall Schools have affectionately known her as “Nurse Connie.” Nursing was her true calling in life; and, her career gave her the opportunity to minister to many hurting people.
Connie is survived by her mother, Geraldine Craft; her husband, David Michael Magee; her four daughters, Nicole Magee Cheramie (Tyler), Hannah Elise Magee, Alisha Eydie Magee and Emily Eden Magee; her sister, Regina Blair. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Craft.
While she faithfully filled her roles as a wonderful wife, mother, nurse, and friend, the greatest legacy she leaves behind is that of a loyal servant of Christ. She was loving, compassionate, selfless and strong. Through the life she lived here on Earth, the Lord is surely pleased.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 5:00 p.m.-8: 00 pm at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. Services are Sunday, March 11, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Church Alive in Magee. The final resting place will be Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
