Washington, D.C. – Following this week’s floor passage of Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole’s (R-OK) motion to move the House to conference with the Senate on the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, and Legislative Branch Appropriations Acts, 2026, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) appointed House majority conferees.

Congressman Guest said, “I am honored to serve on the Committee on Appropriations and to be selected as a conferee. This role gives me an opportunity to further advance the priorities of Mississippi’s Third Congressional District. Thank you to Speaker Johnson for giving me this opportunity.”

Republican Conference Committee Representatives include:

  • Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK)
  • Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee Chairman Robert Aderholt (R-AL)
  • Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee Chairman John Carter (R-TX)
  • Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Subcommittee Chairman Andy Harris (R-MD)
  • Legislative Branch Subcommittee Chairman David Valadao (R-CA)
  • Congressman Dan Newhouse (R-WA)
  • Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI)
  • Congressman John Rutherford (R-FL)
  • Congressman Ben Cline (R-VA)
  • Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA)
  • Congresswoman Julia Letlow (R-LA), LHHS Vice Chair
  • Congressman Michael Guest (R-MS)
  • Congressman Ryan Zinke (R-MT)
  • Congresswoman Stephanie Bice (R-OK), THUD Vice Chair
  • Congressman Scott Franklin (R-FL), Agriculture Vice Chair
  • Congressman Nick LaLota (R-NY), FSGG Vice Chair
  • Congressman Dale Strong (R-AL), CJS Vice Chair
  • Congresswoman Celeste Maloy (R-UT), Interior Vice Chair
  • Congressman Riley Moore (R-WV), Legislative Branch Vice Chair

This marks the first time since Fiscal Year 2019 that regular appropriations bills will proceed to a conference committee, demonstrating renewed action to restore regular order. A previous statement from Chairman Cole on this action and the importance of keeping the government open and working for the American people can be read here.

As a fellow Mississippians, I would like to request that you bring Jasmine Crockett before the Ethnics Committee for her hateful rhetoric !! She is a disgrace for using hateful language. She should be held accountable!
You are the chairman of the ethics committee , please do your job !
