I was very fortunate to interview Coach Bobby Hall, a legend in high school football in Mississippi.
Head Coach and Athletic Director at Magee High School Teddy Dyess invited Coach Hall to speak to his Trojan Team. The Trojans are now 7-0 and on the march to a State Championship. Bobby Hall knows about championships. He knows about hardships. He know what it takes to win.
In 2017, Coach Hall was inducted into the Mississippi Association of Coaches Hall of Fame. This “young boy” who knew at age 14 he wanted to be a high school coach—head coach…had reached one of his many goals.
In the interview, Hall tells of his admiration for Coach Vince Lombardi. With no computers, Hall learned about the legendary coach by reading! He read everything about Lombardi and patterned his coaching principals after the great coach.
Coach Hall was to meet the Trojan team at 1:30 for an afternoon of inspiration and tough talk.
I hope you will listen to the interview with Coach Bobby Hall. He is a very interesting man.
By the way, his son Will, who is the offense coach at Tulane, is being considered for the Head Coach position at USM. (We will have to wait and see!)
