Co-Lin to host tenors performance at Homecoming

Copiah-Lincoln Community College will kick off its Homecoming weekend on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Three Co-Lin Tenors in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Wesson campus.
The trio features alumni Joe Elliot of Summit, J.D. Longmire of Ocean Springs, and Dwayne Nix of Denver, Colorado, all members of the class of 1987. The trio performed on campus as students from 1985-87 and are looking forward to reuniting their voices.
Elliot is a music instructor at Southwest Mississippi Community College and also directs the concert choir and Southwest Singers. He also serves as minister of music at New Heights Baptist church in Summit. Nix is an attorney in Denver. Longmire isdirector of information technology and technical fellow with the Northrop Grumman Corporation.
“We’ve been rehearsing since April and are really looking forward to being back on campus at Homecoming,” Nix said.
The program is free and open to the public. Other Homecoming activities are planned on campus for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2-3. For more information, contact the AlumniOffice at 601-643-8498.
