WESSON, Miss. – Co-Lin has a storied tradition of commitment to veterans and their families, and on Saturday, April 21 the Co-Lin softball team and the Veterans Service office plans to continue that commitment with a veteran emphasis softball game.
The Co-Lin softball team hosts Holmes Community College for sophomore day on Saturday with the first pitch slated for 12 p.m. Between the two games of the doubleheader a presentation will take place on the field to honor the Patriot Guard and other veteran groups. There will be a ceremonial first pitch and both teams, Co-Lin and Holmes, will wear camo jerseys for game two to honor our veterans. Copiah-Lincoln Community College invites all veterans and their families to be a part of the activities.
“Co-Lin has been recognized as a Military Friendly School for seven years in a row,” said Director of Veteran Services, Dr. Tim Lea. “Allen Kent, Co-Lin’s softball coach, has taken initiative to do this for our veterans and this is just one of the pieces that allow us to continually receive that recognition…we are looking forward to a great day of fellowship and softball.”
For more information contact Co-Lin’s Veterans Service office at (601) 643-8634.
