WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College President Dr. Dewayne Middleton was recently honored by United States Congressman Bennie G. Thompson at an awards banquet held on October 26 in downtown Natchez. Honorees were selected from Adams, Amite, Franklin, and Wilkinson counties for their impactful contributions to the communities they serve. The honorees included business owners, law enforcement officers, educational leaders, unsung heroes, and other outstanding Black professionals.

Alongside Dr. Middleton, Co-Lin Board Members Dr. Adrian Hammitte, Jefferson County School District Superintendent, and Zandra McDonald-Green, Natchez-Adams School District Superintendent were also honored. Additionally, four members of the Co-Lin Natchez Campus faculty and staff were recognized: Campus Police Officer Benjamin Davis, Career Coach Chantel Williams, Instructor Joyce Arceneaux-Mathis, and Instructor Cheryl Hunt.
