At the February 15, 2024 meeting, Mike Monk and Gray Outz, of the Central Mississippi Planning and Development District, presented to the supervisors a temporary land use map for the county. Gray has been working on this project for over a year. The last land use survey was done in 2009.
Continued work is required on the map before approval. “This is not a zoning map, it is a land use map,” stated Mrs. Gray. Public hearings will be held before the map is approved.
The map is a work in progress.
The Board of Supervisors voted to take the matter under advisement.
