CMCF inmate dies in hospital
JACKSON – A Central Mississippi Correctional Facility inmate has died at the Merit Health Central hospital in Jackson.
Robert Tyler Jr., 53, was pronounced dead at noon on Wednesday. The official cause of death is pending autopsy results from the State Medical Examiner, which operates independently of MDOC.
Tyler, MDOC #L6570, was sentenced to 30 years on July 17, 2003, in Desoto County for sexual battery.
