Clothing Pile May Have Caused Residential House Fire
Magee Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire Saturday afternoon, June 20th, 2015.
Just before 1:00 pm, firefighters arrived on the scene, located at 117 3rd Street NE, to discover fire in the utility room, although, firefighters quickly took action extinguishing the flames, preventing the fire from spreading into any other rooms of the home.
Although the cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials believe the fire started from the pilot light of a water heater igniting a pile of clothing.
