The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Colossians 3:12: “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Paul wrote this letter to the early Christians during his first imprisonment at Rome, we’re told. He wanted his friends in Christ to know that they were very special to God, and, as such, they had to behave in a Christ-like manner. Christ was known for His kindness, compassion, humility, gentleness, and patience. What admiral traits for the Christian to adopt for himself. How do we rate ourselves on each of them? I must admit that patience is my weakest. I constantly pray for more patience in my daily walk, as well as strength to carry out the other Christ-like traits. I hope and pray we’ll all strive to improve ourselves in these areas and do better. Amen!
