Dog lovers always want to know what is happening to the dogs picked up in the city. Well, now I can tell you!

We have a new dog catcher, Michael Andrews, and a new Animal Control Van. Michael is aware of the problem of dogs running loose…but he also loves dogs. Michael is taking good care of the dogs rescued. Dogs are held for 14 days before eligibility for adoption.
The pound area is cleaned daily and sometimes twice a day. The dogs have food as well as blankets.
If you are interested in adopting a “pound” dog, visit City Hall, fill out the paperwork, and pay $25.
Want to help out the dogs? Dog food and blankets are needed.
The items may be taken to the City Barn located at 326 Railroad Drive (near the city water tower).
To complain about a dog, contact the police department. Please give the address of where the dog is located.
Please take time to listen to the video and view some of the dogs.
