The City of Magee was presented an Award for Excellence for Public Works in a city under 10,000 population for the improvements made to our City Parks.
Former Mayor Jimmy Clyde was recognized at the Mississippi Municipal League noon luncheon as outgoing President of the MML. Mayor Dale Berry, Alderman Patrick Brown, Alderman Matthew Hickman, Alderman Whitney Baker, Alderman Angel Brister, City attorney Bruce Smith, City Recreational Department employees David Dunn, Jimmy Zilla, and Daniel Decker, and of course the best supporter of the Rec Department, Michael Dunn were included in the award presentation.
Several of the city board are attending the MML convention learning about ways to improve our city. The convention ends on Thursday. 
The banquet was held at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum. Others in attendance were Keliah Berry, Donna Dunn, Carrie Decker, Kristen Zilla, Debbie Clyde, Kasey Clyde, Diane McPhail, Dee Dee Hooks, and Sue Honea.
