Mr. Earl, a citizen of Simpson County, met before the board to discuss his concerns of the District 2 vacancy for the school board due to no one running for the position during the previous election. Mr. Earl asked the board to consider the appointing of Marvin Lee. He stated several individuals had signed petitions supporting his appointment. The board advised Mr. Earl, no action would be taken until after the first of the year at the first board meeting. Mrs. Curlee’s term continues until the end of the month, December 31, 2016.
