Following a long hard battle for each candidate and months of TV ads and phone calls for us, the 2018 mid-term election came to an end Tuesday night, November 28th.
Cindy Hyde-Smith won the Senate position seat in Simpson County 5404(61%) to Mike Espy’s 3433 (39%). David McCarty defeated Judge Jeff Weill 4444 to 3547 in the Court of Appeals race.
In Simpson County politics the two races were “neck and neck” until the final vote count. Charles Savell defeated Tracey Brown 2153-2146. With only a 7 point difference, Tracey Brown has called for a recount in the Justice Court Judge race.
Chris Jones defeated Dusty Drennan 2196-2116 for Constable Post 3.
