Christin King crowned Magee’s 2017 Miss Hospitality
Christin-King.-Magee's-Miss-Hospitality2017Magee has a new face to represent the town both locally and on the state level as Miss Hospitality. Christin King was crowned Sunday, April 9th, by Hanna Lester, Magee’s 2016 Miss Hospitality. Christin is the 20 year old daughter of Keith and Christy King and granddaughter of Jack and Billie Faye King, of Mt. Olive. She is an honor graduate of Simpson Academy where she was voted as Most Spiritually Minded, Tennis MVP, and all district softball. She served as President of FCA and was a member of FBLA, varsity track and field, tennis team, softball team, archery team and ran cross country. As an active member of FBC Magee, Christin has served as a Student Leader, VBS Volunteer, Upwards Basketball coach and Super Summer Youth Leader. She was selected as Simpson County Future Leaders and the Mayor’s Youth Council.Miss-Hospitality-transfer-2017
Christin attended Jones County Junior College where she received a tennis scholarship and her team was awarded first runner up in the state competition. She was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, part of FCA Leadteam and a member of the Baptist Student Union. Following JCJC, Christin attended the University of Southern Mississippi. There she was part of CRU, BSU and Kappa Delta Sorority. In the fall, Christin plans to attend Mississippi College and major in Kinesiology/Pre-PT.
Please call the local chamber office if you would like to schedule Miss Hospitality to attend your local event or ribbon cutting. Christin will compete in the state Miss Hospitality program July 16-22 in Hattiesburg.
