With just under four weeks until opening kickoff, the Mississippi College football program welcomed 144 student-athletes to campus for preseason camp on Tuesday, August 9th.
Head Coach John Bland and the staff opened the day by checking the team into dorms, which was followed by a student/parent convocation in Provine Chapel.
Following convocation, the team took individual and team pictures and went through physicals before participating in “Media Day” on Tuesday night.
“There are only so many ways to say you are excited about starting a season,” said Bland. “That said, we are really excited about starting this season. After finishing the transition to Division II, not only do our teams have a chance to compete for GSC and NCAA championships, but our kids’ hard work can be recognized with conference and national awards.”
The Choctaws will go through administrative meetings on Wednesday before opening practice on Thursday morning. For a full schedule, click here.
