To the citizens of Magee,

As the leader of your police department, it is my responsibility to inform you of an incident that occurred today near Magee High School. A call came into our dispatch regarding a male individual, later identified as Willie Jones, walking near the school with a machete in hand.

Our officers responded diligently and swiftly, making contact with the suspect within two minutes of receiving the call. Jones was still holding the machete when officers approached him. Upon further investigation, Jones was arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine. He was transported to the police department and checked by EMS to ensure his well being.
