Chester Mockbee Drake, Sr. passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the age of 73. He was born on August 15, 1943, to his parents Jesse D. Drake, Sr. and Marion Elizabeth Mockbee Drake.
He was a retired Electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 480.
Chester is survived by his wife, Jeannine Turner Drake; son, George Alan Drake (Stacy); daughter, Susan Elizabeth Williford (Kevin); daughter-in-law, Sonya Drake; sister, Marion Elizabeth Drake Martin; grandchildren, Jennings Williford, Hughey Williford, Emma Drake, and Everett Drake; step-great granddaughter, Sierra Newman; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chester M. (Chet) Drake, Jr., and brother, J.D. Drake, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on August 5, 2017, 2:30 p.m. at Wildwood Baptist Church Clinton, MS. Dr. Bobby Dungan and Dr. Fred Womack will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, MS
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
