Chester H. Burnham, 99, of Puckett passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at MS State Veterans Home in Collins. He was born Tuesday, October 9, 1917 in Puckett, MS.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery in Puckett. Bro. Charles Ray Burnham will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601)847-4401

Mr. Burnham served our Country in the US Army from March 1941 until October 1945. He served in campaigns in Napels-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

He is preceded in death by wife, Levia; his parents Henry and Angeline Boone Burnham, Brothers, Truitt Burnham, Carey Burnham, C. G. Burnham, Sisters Rachel Burnham Smith, Bessie Burnham Grantham, Josephine Burnham Shows Faulker, and Daughter Nancy Susan Burnham.

Survivors include his sons, Rev. Marcus Burnham (Kathleen), Laurel, Larry Burnham, Puckett, Rev. Danny Burnham (Louann), Fort Worth, TX, Jeffrey Burnham (Tammy), Brandon, Perrin Burnham, Puckett, Jimmy Burnham (Theresa), Puckett , Daughter – Angella Burnham, Petal, Brother, Clarence Burnham, Jackson, Six Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Burnham, Danny Burnham, Jeffery Burnham, Jimmy Burnham, T. J. Burnham, Marc Burnham, Larry Burnham, and Ronnie Means.
