Cheryl Grubbs Pansano, 75 of Mendenhall, MS went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Tuesday, October 12, 1948 in Jackson, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm following the visitation. Burial will follow in Grubbs Cemetery in Magee, MS. Dr. Frank Harmon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Mrs. Cheryl retired from the State of MS, Simpson County Extension Service after 25 years. She enjoyed spending time in her yard. She loved to travel, especially to see her grandkids play sports. She was a doting “Gran” and loved her grandkids fiercely. She enjoyed cooking for everyone especially when it revolved around a good football game. Many cherished moments were spent sitting around the living room with her family and a good cup of coffee. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Whitney Pansano, III; father, George B. Grubbs; mother, Lilly Shannon Grubbs; and brother, Brent Grubbs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Whitney Pansano, Jr.; son, Chris Caughman (Melissa); daughter, Chantell Caughman Miles (Bill); grandchildren, Cade Caughman, Abby Caughman Weeks (Cole), Bryce Caughman and Baden Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers will be Cade Caughman, Bryce Caughman, Baden Miles, Cole Weeks, Jason Grubbs, and Darryl Brock.
