Charlie Purser, 92 of Mt. Olive, MS passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Monday, April 28, 2025 at his home in Mt. Olive, MS. He was born Tuesday, January 3, 1933 in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Andy Gipson and Bro. Earl Clark will officiate. Special music will be performed by Ivan Colson and Tasha Turnage. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mr. Charlie was loved by many. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and mowing the lawn. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Purser; son, Ricky Purser; parents, Tom Purser and Annie Purser; brother, Marzell Purser; sisters, Mattie Williamson and Lillian Blair; great grandchildren, Owen Parker Brinson and Megan Beaube.
Survivors include his sons, Charlie Wayne Purser (Judie) and Tommy Ray Purser; daughter, Annie Elizabeth Purser Brinson (Charles); grandchildren, Debra Purser, Shania Purser, Jason Brinson (Amy), Isaac Purser (Sara), Jessica Brinson, Andy Brinson (Kaitlyn) and Jeremy Brinson (Shay); great- grandchildren, Kris Hayes, Katilyn Hayes, Matthew Beaube, Jakai Brinson, Austin Paxton and Vestella Jordan.
Pallbearers will be Isaac Purser, Jason Brinson, Andy Brinson, Jeremy Brinson, Kris Hayes, Austin Paxton, and David Freshour.
