Charles Ray Cliburn passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on May 6, 1938 to his parents, the late Willie Bee Cliburn and Carmel Inez Williamson Cliburn.
In 1962, Charles Ray began serving his country in the United Stated Army. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Magee.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette Welch Cliburn; sons, Scotty Cliburn (Tina), Michael Ray Cliburn (Catherine), Mike Davis (Karen); brother, James Willis “Jimmy” Cliburn (Suzy) and nine grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Edwin Davis and Derrell Davis; grandchild, Kristy Lynn Davis and sister, Nell Langford.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019, at First United Methodist Church of Magee, MS from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. The service will begin at 4:00 pm. with Rev. Tommy Jennings, Bro. Paul Hoover and Rev. Jonathan Burnham officiating. Interment will follow in Welch Family Cemetery in Mendenhall.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
