Winkie grew up in Magee and attended Magee schools where he played football.  He looked forward to getting together with his teammates and catching up with each other.   He moved to Jackson where he worked for Jackson Mack 35 years.   He attended First Baptist Church in Jackson for many years, where he loved working in the preschool department.   Each child he met was very special to him.   He was an avid fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Winkie’s name to Batson Children’s Hospital, Jackson, MS.

Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
